锦州港位于辽宁省西部、渤海西北部的锦州湾北岸，地处关内外交通要冲——辽西走廊的上咽，是距辽宁西部，吉林、黑龙江两省中西部、内蒙古东部、华北北部乃至蒙古国、俄罗斯西伯利亚地区便捷的进出海口，是辽宁省发展的北方区域性港口。
　　Located at the west of Liaoning Province and the north bank of Jinzhou Bay on the northwestern shore of the Bohai Sea, Jinzhou Port is at the upper side of Liaoxi Carrider, the vital communications hub linking inside and outside Shanhaiguan. It is an important regional port in the north to be prioritized by Liaoning Province and the most convenient seaport to and from western Liaoning Province, central and western Jilin and Heilongjiang Provinces, east of Inner Mongolia, north of North China, and Mongolia and Siberia of Russia.
　　“辽蒙欧”综合交通运输大通道建设
　　在辽宁加快“辽蒙欧”综合交通运输大通道项目建设框架下，以锦州港、丹东港为起点，途经内蒙古自治区至蒙古国，再到达欧洲各地跨境物流为主的中蒙俄经济走廊，是沿线矿石、农产品的主要运输通道。
　　辽宁省交通运输主管部门正在协调推进锦(州)赤(峰)线、巴(彦乌拉)(阜)新线铁路建设。待蒙古国境内路线建成后，“辽蒙欧”大通道将打通跨省、跨境铁路运输，充分发挥海铁联运的组合效率与综合优势，有效缓解满洲里铁路口岸的运输压力，大大缩短中蒙俄三国间的运输距离。
